A GOP insider tells NRO that many top Bush allies were at Monday’s reception. The guests included Reginald Brown (former Bush adviser), Kathleen Shanahan (former Cheney aide and longtime Bush confidant), Jill Bratina Kermes (former Bush spokesperson), Raquel Rodriguez (former Bush counsel), Justin Sayfie (former Bush adviser), Mark Kaplan (former Florida transportation secretary), and Nina Oviedo (former Bush adviser), among others. At the cocktail party, Bush didn’t give a speech. Instead, he slowly made his way around the dimly-lit room, person to person.
