Andrew – That all sounds fair/plausible. But I think the average person — or at least the average person who doesn’t have it in for the White House — is going to say: Fitzgerald is a major prosecutor with all the resources in the world. He’s had two years with no other case to distract him. If he can’t get it now, maybe he just can’t get it.
Then again, maybe Rove was going to be indicted and his lawyers managed to negotiate a reprieve? Judging from the activity yesterday that sounds plausible to me. What say you Sage of Justice, Paladin of Prosecution? (You really should have that printed on your cards).
