Re: Keeping Terrorists Out

Bringing the terrorists from Gitmo to the U.S. isn’t just the White House’s headache. Jennifer Rubin at Contentions points out that the idea of settling the Uighurs in the nothern Virginia suburbs (where a lot of congressmen live with their families, by the way) has become a factor in the governor’s race — the election is this November. The three Democrats running in the primary are squirming about, not wanting to oppose too hard their guy in the White House, while Bob McDonnell, the sole Republican, is against any terrorists being transferred into the state. Somehow I don’t think the Dems will want the November election to hinge on a debate over settling trained Islamist terrorists in Fairfax County. And putting them on welfare. Even Terry McAuliffe couldn’t talk his way out of that one.
