Kennedy was known for a little profane pal talk with supportive reporters. Page 13: “Thus while seeking the presidential nomination in early 1960, he confided to a few Newsweek staffers how he intended to run in the forthcoming primaries: ‘Well, I’m going to f—ing take Ohio, for starters.’ That line did not appear in print in 1960.”
