You can’t look around at some of the excellent books being produced by some conservatives and think it’s a dormant intellectual movement. Ditto some of the excellent magazine articles, think-tank projects, constant debates online and off, and interactive exchanges on the radio. You hear it, too, from some candidates, from some members of Congress.
There’s much fodder for good policy out there . . . and people do seem in the mood to be receptive. Anxiety does that.
