Dan: My Cato Kremlinology is weak. And I have a great deal of respect for both Brink and Will, though my disagreements with them are considerable. But I’m surprised neither you nor Weigel raised the possibility that someone at Cato read Brink and Will’s forthcoming book and thought it might not be a good fit. I have zero idea whether that’s the case, but it was the first thing that came to mind.
