Re: Limericks

We can’t leave the subject without paying tribute to Robert Conquest.

There once was a Bolshie named Lenin

Who did five or ten million men in.

That’s a lot to have done in,

But, where he did one in,

A Bolshie named Stalin did ten in.

His limerick version of the seven ages of man speech from As You Like It is not just verse, but true poetry (while not dirty, it does have what the New York Times’s movie summaries call “rough language”).
