Speaking as a Mormon and a conservative, I can say that the Salt Lake Tribune article on Mormon desertion if Romney is rejected is so much hooey. The Salt Lake Tribune is a typical MSM newspaper and has a slightly anti-Mormon bias.
This gets back to the 2006 elections and millions of Republicans staying home and not voting. Mormons do not, as a whole, embrace the Democrat agenda of gay rights, gay marriage and secular relativism. They would never turn to the Democrats. Would they not vote? That is a different proposition and anything can happen… although they would be voting against their social interests by not voting at all.
