I know nothing about golf. As a casual observer of Woods over the years — how can Tiger Woods not somehow be on one’s radar in some way? — he seems like a talent who has never flaunted the celebrity that has come with his success. He appears to be remorseful about how he’s let down his family and his good name and, most important, he appears to want to keep his family from having to suffer more with this all having to play out in the press. Inevitably, some of it will, as it has. But God bless him — he seems to want to do something right here. I hope for the sake of his family and even his fans — they do wind up a part of the picture, they just do — he does.
