Re: Naral Ad

While NARAL continues its Roberts-fought-for-clinic-bombers line on its website, Newsweek’s snarky-liberal “Conventional Wisdom Watch” feature (best known for an almost weekly insult for Bush, whether his arrow is going down, sideways, or even up) raises righty eyebrows by giving NARAL a definite down arrow this week with the line:

“Pro-choicers’ shrill anti-Roberts ad (since pulled) is so over the top than even Dems feel bad for the guy.”

Meanwhile, the Virginia affiliate of NARAL has chosen not to make an endorsement in the Virginia’s governor’s election this fall. Democrat Tim Kaine, described as a “practicing Catholic” by the WashPost (does that mean they check on his Mass attendance weekly?) supports a ban on partial-birth abortion and parental restrictions, making him a pariah with the abortion-on-demand crowd. The Post is honest enough to report that its source on all this is “Ann O’Hanlon, executive director of the abortion rights group and a former Washington Post reporter.”
