Lots of talk around the virtual water cooler about Novak’s column. I’m confused, though: I thought President Bush was a puppet of the neoconservatives?! And how does this jibe with Kerry/Edwards’ unsubstantiated attack-of-the-week, re: Bush’s supposed secret plan to call up and deploy more National Guard troops?
I suspect this is yet another example of infighting spill-over. I’d be very surprised (and angry) if after all we’ve been through, President Bush suddenly decided to throw up his hands in defeat.
