Roger Clegg thought about that exchange between Specter and Mitchell, and commented, “Or, as my Latin teacher always said: Repetitio est mater studiorum. That would have really taken Senator Mitchell aback.” Yes, but WFB would have smiled — grinned. (The phrase, incidentally, means, “Repetition is the mother of learning.” I’d better repeat it to myself several times, just to get it locked in.)
