Re: Ouachita Baptist University

Rich, I chuckled while reading your post about attacks on Huckabee’s alma mater…it just happens to be mine too.  I graduated with a political science and communications degree 10 years ago.  It’s understandable that people read the word Baptist and think BIBLE COLLEGE.  I’m pretty sure that over the past 15 years, U.S. News and World Report has consistently listed Ouachita among its best private liberal arts colleges in the South.

Like other institutions of higher learning, the faculty was dominated by liberal Democrats who liked to challenge conservative students.  I didn’t make it over there much, but I think there were a few liberals in the religion department.  It’s a great place and we did have a large College Republican chapter when I chairman
