Jonathan, you remain focused on Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. But what if major states move their primaries within a month of the New Hampshire contest? If you can win California and Florida and be a fifth of the way to securing the nomination right there, do you spend a year in New Hampshire? Or Iowa? Or South Carolina? You can’t cede them entirely because you don’t want someone to zoom from the second or third tier to challenge you. But it would be crazy to put all your eggs in a New Hampshire basket when New Hampshire hasn’t been a decisive factor for the GOP since 1988.
