Personally, I think the case for instant replay was always obvious (same goes for laser strikezones, but we’ll leave that aside for now). Baseball should clearly go to a system where instead of having a manager run out onto the field to engage in a ridiculous pantomine of argument, he gets to challenge two or three safe-out calls a game, and there’s an expeditious video review. If people think that will interrupt the flow of the game, 1) there is no flow of the game with all the unnecessary delays that stretch games into three-hour affairs; 2) those delays should be eliminated.
