Aaron is right, “Undercover Brother” is a thumbs-up laugher, but the NPR commentary is lame. You could try to insist that transplanting Keyes in Illinois is cynically racial, or that Keyes is too humorless and white-hot in his dazzling stump style to win, or that Illinois seems just too darn blue-state liberalish for a conservative to have a good shot. But you should not suggest that conservatives don’t give a flying Fig Newton about black people and expect not to hear back about it.
