Peter, of course, you’re right that these guys have good and bad nights. But I don’t think anyone ever had trouble figuring out whether Reagan really wanted to be president or not. Fred did himself–and his supporters–no favors by campaigning in such a lackluster manner until a Politico story happened to prick his pride (if that’s what happened–I hope it’s much more than that)…
