Before Sullivan complains too much about how Kathryn’s alleged “political cooptation of faith is sickening,” I’d like to know what he makes of the extreme politicization of Obama’s church. I mean it’s one thing to vote your Christian conscience on life issues; it’s quite another when the church Obama belongs to has staked out positions on Social Security privatization, Wal-Mart’s “corporate social responsibility,” the Federal Communications Commission and every other liberal public-policy issue under the sun.
