Ditto what John said. I hadn’t bothered Bob often enough recently, or adequately thanked him for his work. As I recall, it was the late David Orgon Coolidge, who died of brain cancer in 2002, who connected me with Robert. May they both rest in peace.
Both names are a reminder to never let heroes go unsung. Thank someone, reconnect with someone. You never know how much it might be appreciated. You might be surprised by what you learn in the process. And do it today, because tomorrow isn’t a given.
