One of the telling aspects of the Obamacare shutdown soap opera is the degree to which supporters of the Cruz/Lee approach ignore the serious arguments raised against the defund/shutdown strategy over the last several months, instead calling those who disagree “RINOs” or the equivalent. Many conservatives, especially supporters of the Cruz/Lee approach, use the term “RINO” as freely as liberals use the term “racist.”
