Re: Still Willfully Blind

Andy objects to the president’s statement at Ft. Hood that “no faith justifies these murderous and craven acts; no just and loving God looks upon them with favor.” He takes Obama to be making a claim about the content of religions, a claim that Andy thinks false with respect to Islam. I took Obama to be making a moral claim: that these acts were unjustified, and cannot be justified by any appeal to religious authority.
