RE: Tanenhaus the Neocon

Jim Sleeper responds to my earlier post. He writes:

I am not even remotely opposed to the Times Book Review’s publishing terrific conservative and neo-conservative writers, and I am certainly not calling for more reviews by Anthony Lewis, let alone, say, Naomi Klein. But, like a lot of people, I’ve tired of the Book Review’s virulent strain of gratuitous “liberal”-bashing, which, as I argued before

and after Sam Tanenhaus’ recent lecture on “George W. Bush and The Future of Conservatism” at the American Enterprise Institute, really did reflect his own published predilections for conservative and liberal war hawks. Believe me, Some of my best friends are conservative writers… or at least thinkers!

More thoughts from me in the AM, perhaps.
