Re: Tina Brown

Byron, it’s awfully strange for Tina to complain about Giuliani “franchising” 9/11 at the Republican convention and then watch her comparing the Flight 93 hijacker-fighters to Hillary and Mary Landrieu. It’s appalling to compare President Bush to al-Qaeda killers. But it’s just weird to compare a party dominated by MoveOn activists who opposed even the war in Afghanistan to our first fighting American casualties of the War on Terror.

PS: If you’re into weird historical analogies, Keith Olbermann last night compared Bush supporters to George McClellan voters in 1864 who favored immediate withdrawal from the South and letting slavery continue. (Isn’t MoveOn a better analogy here?)
