Re: Tsa Aside

I flew in and out of Little Rock this weekend, and was waved through security even though the name on my ticket (which had been paid for by the group that brought me in to speak) had the name “ROD DREHER” on it, when the name on my official ID is “RAY DREHER” (my initials are R.O.D. – get it?). That happened to me once before in Dallas, on a ticket purchased by my publisher. I hadn’t even noticed the discrepancy until the TSA screener at LaGuardia got me on the way home. On my way to Dallas, I went to the airline counter to have the ticket name changed, but the clerk told me to try to get through TSA as it was, and if that didn’t work, he’d change it. How about that? Not confidence-inspiring, for sure.
