If the U of Iowa REALLY has a problem in playing against teams that denigrate Native Americans, shouldn’t they drop out of the Big X? U of I teams play the “Fighting Illini” of the University of Illinois on numerous occasions each and every year. Sure, we’ll pull lowly Butler off our schedule, but pull out of the Big X? Pull out college football’s very lucrative (and almost surely in violation of anti-trust laws) BCS? Pull out of March Madness (for fear of playing a team-with-an-insensitive-name)? Unthinkable!
