Archbishop Dolan’s got nothing on my retro priest. During yesterday’s Mass he prattled ceaselessly about Father’s Day–which was clearly inappropriate and offensive to the mothers and other non-fathers populating the pews. But he didn’t stop there–he went on about the importance of fidelity and commitment–a stunning affront to all Adulterous-Americans and other oppressed peoples. The final straw was his repeated reference to the Trinity ( ostensibly because it was Trinity Sunday or some such thing; but merely a transparent excuse for religious bigotry)–a gaffe of epic insensitivity to any “youths” in attendance.
