Re: “Why Kill Bin Laden?”

Rich – Great column. It’s a fascinating thing when you think about it, something that future historians may well puzzle over. Our armed forces and our legal establishment are simply at odds with one another. It’s not quite a war (sorry lawyers, you’d lose that fight), but it’s not much better than a cold peace.

Cut through all of the issues and it boils down to this: The SEALs had to kill Bin Laden to prevent him from falling into the hands of Eric Holder.
