Yes, Andrew, Europe’s feminists are big on day care as the solution to the population problem, but it’s just as bogus a fix as immigration. The rising fertility rates are trivial, but the effect on the family as not. Sweden is still depopulating, but it’s family system is unraveling. Higher productivity would be great, but it’s easier said than done. Raising the retirement age would also make a huge difference, but it’s politically very difficult, to say the least. There is no easy or evident solution here.
