My old buddy David Corn of the Nation was on Diane Rheim’s NPR radio show this morning trying to sell the chestnut that Osama bin Laden is pleased that Zarqawi is dead – because Zarqawi is more valuable to the movement as a martyr than as a terrorist commander.
I think that’s utter nonsense, spin and clap-trap gussied up as sophisticated analysis. I say that with all due respect, of course.
