Readers Who Do Not Have a Subscription to The New Criterion…

…should be darned well ashamed of themselves.

The May 2003 issue arrived with my lunchtime mail, EXCELLENT issue, fizzing

with irreverent thoughts expressed in beautiful English. Come on, folk:

Roger Kimball, Hilton Kramer, Jay Nordlinger, Mark Steyn & Co. are toiling

away up there on 7th Ave. trying to save the culture, give them a little

support, why don’t you? (Oh, and this issue also has an exceptionally

perspicacious review of Patricia Fara’s book on Isaac Newton…)
