“The reason the tea-baggers are so inflamed is because we are winning”

So said Bill Clinton (of all people).

It is sort of creepy the way that both President Obama and (now) President Clinton have derided the town-hall, tea-party protestors as “tea-baggers.” Apparently the crass sexual slur used against these mostly middle-class, everyday people has gone mainstream. But do Obama and Clinton really mean to dismiss legitimate worries over mega-deficits and out-of-control spending with a crude and flip sexual pun? Even Anderson Cooper apologized for his use of the term.
