Rebekah Jones, the disgraced fabulist who spent much of last year willfully lying about Florida’s response to Covid, lost her bid for the House of Representatives this evening by a blowout margin. This performance was typical. Earlier this year, Jones had her allegations fully debunked by an internal inspector general: “Based upon an analysis of the available evidence,” the report read, “the alleged conduct, as described by the complainant, did not occur.”
Having failed to make it in politics, Jones will now be forced to return to civilian life, where she will presumably be busy preparing for her upcoming criminal trial and the jail sentence that may well result.
