I think Mr. Jacob radically misinterprets my view and argument. I agree that democracy is a means to an end and have said so, hmmm, ten thousand times. He clearly thinks it’s absurd that I think Californians should be punished for electing Gray Davis. But he misses my point that the “punishment” is not an ends either, but a means as well.
