The Corner

Remo Williams Is Back!

Or rather, he never really went away. Today’s Between the Covers interview is with Jim Mullaney, co-author of a The New Destroyer, book series that features the character of Remo Williams. A few years ago, this long-running, right-slanted series almost came to an end, thanks to political correctness in the publishing industry; Mullaney wrote about the experience for NRO here. Nowadays, our hero is back in action and it seems like a new book is always just around the corner.

One more thing: Jim is the brother-in-law of NR publisher Jack Fowler. Toward the end of our 10-minute interview, he recounts a story involving Jack and a group of Japanese tourists at the National Zoo in Washington. It sounds like there may be an embarassing photo in a Tokyo photo album.
