The MSM were predicting that American forces would get bogged down during the Afghan winter, fall prey to whatever it was that prevented the British from conquering Afghanistan a century ago, or free only Kabul while finding themselves forced to permit the rest of the country to remain in the grip of warlords. Next month? Presidential elections will take place throughout Afghanistan.
