Report: DWS Schemed to Paint Obama as Anti-Woman, Anti-Semitic if Ousted at DNC

As rumors swirled that she may be removed from her position as Democratic National Committee chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz was reportedly not going to pull any punches against President Obama.

In a new report by Politico, sources close to the Florida congresswoman told the website that she had begun laying the groundwork for a whisper campaign to cast the president as anti-woman and anti-Semitic. She contacted supporters to aid her in her effort as she sensed her potential removal.

Wasserman Schultz’s tenure at the DNC has been a rocky one. Under her watch, Democrats have struggled to regain the good will they held early in President Obama’s first term. Since that time, they have seen their numbers in the House shrink and lost their majority in the Senate. A handful of gaffes and other blunders also plagued Wasserman Schultz, at the time furthering speculation that she could lose the position either ahead or in the aftermath of the 2014 midterms.

She is reportedly now mulling a Senate run next year for a seat that could be open if Republican Marco Rubio opts for a presidential bid.
