…whether Israel might have learned something valuable from the Hezbollah war. Sure it did. But judging from what I’m hearing and the people I’ve been talking to, Israelis all feel like they’ve lost the war and they are in shock. The nation’s confidence in its military has been shaken. Its confidence that when push comes to shove, its leaders will act decisively has been shattered. And that is something no one but an enemy of Israel could have wanted.
