The Corner

Richard Sherman

Prompted by Jay’s post and Dan Foster’s excellent piece, I learned a little bit more about Richard Sherman. I had missed the notorious post-game interview because I was rooting for the 49er’s and turned off the TV right away as the game was ending (still don’t know why Kaepernick had to take that shot into the end zone with so much time remaining, but he’s the prodigiously talented quarterback and I’m not). Anyway, although I’m usually a stickler for sportsmanship and don’t understand why every touchdown, sack, or broken-up pass has to be celebrated like a Super Bowl–clinching play, Sherman is highly entertaining. He’s a clever guy, and when his playing days are done, a career as a broadcaster will surely beckon.
