Rick Perry Federalism Watch

First Perry suggested that New York’s approval of same-sex marriage was federalism in action, and nobody else’s business.

Then he said that he supported a Federal Marriage Amendment to the Constitution that would keep any state from recognizing same-sex marriage. But he also said, around the same time, that abortion policy should be set state-by-state.

This did not seem to me to be a stable resting spot for Perry, and evidently he came to agree. Now he says he favors a constitutional amendment against abortion, too.
