At least one recent poll in the Florida governor’s race is breaking Rick Scott’s way, even if only slightly.
Two weeks ago, a SurveyUSA/WFLA-TV poll showed Republican-turned-independent-turned-Democrat Charlie Crist leading the incumbent Scott by six percentage points. Now, a new poll by the same organization shows Scott up 45 percent to Crist’s 43 percent.
Where Scott has a notable edge is with independent voters, among whom he currently holds a twelve point lead (45 percent to 33 percent).
The three most recent polls — including the most recent SurveyUSA/WFLA-TV poll, as well as ones conducted by Rasmussen and CBS News/New York Times – have given Scott the lead after the previous three showed Crist ahead.
