Have something fun for you: In Impromptus today, I published a letter about Julius Erving. He played for U-Mass, a school with little television exposure. (Maybe none?) And, reading the newspaper — and not seeing pictures — many Jewish Americans, across the country, assumed he was one of them. I now have another letter, from another reader: who says, “Well, he became a doctor anyway.”
As I said, kind of fun.
