Rodman Checks into Rehab

A week after a bizarre trip to North Korea that included an alcohol-fueled outburst on CNN, Dennis Rodman has checked into a rehab center.

Earlier this month, Rodman was widely criticized for traveling to the country with a group of former NBA players to take part in a game for Kim Jong-Un’s birthday. According to his agent, Rodman returned to the United States “in pretty rough shape emotionally.”

“The pressure that was put on him to be a combination ’super human’ political figure and ‘fixer’ got the better of him,” his agent said. “He is embarrassed, saddened, and remorseful for the anger and hurt his words have caused.”

While in North Korea, Rodman had previously apologized for his outburst during a CNN interview in which he indicated that imprisoned American Kenneth Bae deserved his punishment. Rodman said he had been drinking prior to the interview.

Rodman checked in to a New Jersey rehab center last Wednesday, a source told the news network.
