Romney and the M-Word

As I was reading the speech before watching it, I wondered whether Romney had thought about giving the speech without using the word “Mormon.”  Turns out he did use it, once.  The word “Catholic” appears three times in the speech, “Muslim” twice, “Jew” twice.  Even “Anabaptist” was mentioned – precisely as often as was “Mormon.” By my quick count, John F. Kennedy used the word “Catholic” 20 times in his 1960 speech.
