Romney Apologizes for High School Pranks

Mitt Romney responded to the Washington Post story alleging that he had cut the hair of a fellow student in high school without that student’s consent (he was reportedly held down by friends of Romney) in an interview today.

“I had no idea that this person might have been gay and as the article points out, I participated in a lot of hijinks and pranks in high school,” Romney told Fox News radio host Brian Kilmeade, per Politico. “Some may have gone too far and for that I apologize.”

Asked specifically about the claim that he had cut his classmate’s hair, Romney said, “I don’t remember that incident.”
