In a new Ohio poll by CBS/New York Times/Quinnipiac, President Obama is at 50 percent and Mitt Romney at 45 percent. However, among independents, Romney is ahead by seven points, 49 percent to 42 percent. And the sample was a nine-point advantage for Democrats (35 percent) over Republicans (26 percent). That’s one point more than the advantage exit polls showed for Democrats in 2008 (eight points), and four points more than that what Josh Jordan speculates is the actual partisan breakdown of Ohio in 2008.
