Romney Outraises Obama by $17 Million in May

Amount raised by the Romney campaign, Romney Victory, and the RNC in May: $76.8 million.

Amount raised by the Obama campaign and associated committees: $60 million. 

The conventional wisdom for quite a while has been that Obama would have the financial advantage in this election. It’ll be another unpleasant twist for the Obama campaign if Romney ends up being a more successful fundraiser.
