Romney Supports Fung

I’ve written about Rhode Island’s GOP gubernatorial primary, which comes to a head next week when voters will pick between Allan Fung, the popular Republican mayor of Cranston, and former Moderate-party founder (and Obama supporter) Kenneth Block. Fung just received Mitt Romney’s endorsement, the subject of a new Fung ad running on Providence TV. I think the mayor is likeable, hard-working, accomplished, and the Buckley Rule winner — the most conservative viable candidate. First things first, on Tuesday, but he would make a great governor for a state that desperately needs one.
