Romney’s Letter to Laid-Off Employee

The letter Mitt Romney sent Randy Johnson in 1995, after Bain-owned Ampad closed the plant Johnson had been employed at (via BusinessWeek’s Joshua Green):

 

Asked about the letter this morning in a conference call arranged by the Obama campaign, Johnson was dismissive, saying Romney hadn’t sent the letter until the day the plant was closed. ”It wasn’t much help to the workers that were losing their jobs on the day,” Johnson added.
