Prince Harry received $20 million for his book, Spare, which comes out next week. In clips of his pre-release interview with the British TV channel, ITV, Harry said his family members “have shown absolutely no willingness to reconcile” and prefer to keep him and his wife “somehow as the villains.”

Of course, his family hasn’t said anything about them since the couple started their public attacks. And you can’t blame his family, either — given that anything they’ve said in the past has been used against them in the couple’s lucrative PR parades.

“The family motto is ‘never complain, never explain’ but it’s just a motto,” Harry told Anderson Cooper. But it wasn’t “just a motto” to the late Queen, who spent 70 years on the throne with barely a peep of controversy. And it evidently isn’t “just a motto” to Harry’s brother or family, either, who have yet to retaliate:
