The Corner

The Rubaiyat of Gord Hunsacker

On the subject of poetry; I recently quoted from Fitzgerald’s translations

of Omar Khayyam here on The Corner. Spotting this, a reader alerted me to

the definitive critique of the old Persian versifier: “I Could Write A

Better Rubaiyat Than That Khayyam Dips***“

I just hope this guy

leaves Yeats alone.
